Job Description

General Summary:
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night-Shift Operations/Cleaning Supervisor to lead our team. In this role, you will oversee night operations, ensure top-tier facility standards, and operate specialized floor-care equipment.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience and 5 years of hands-on cleaning experience.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in operating carpet cleaning equipment, as well as floor stripping and refinishing machinery.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 2:30 AM (with occasional weekends as needed).
Essential Job Functions:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in janitorial services Assigns janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards Records personnel data per specified systems & forms Recommends personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing Confers with staff to resolve production and personnel problems Trains workers in janitorial methods and procedures and proper operation of equipment. Issues janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
Scope of Responsibility:
Knows the formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within the organization. Is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the department.
Decision Making:
On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgement and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area.
Authority:
May oversee or coordinate the work of others.
Communication:
Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills.
