Job Description
Position Summary Under the Executive Director's direction, manages visitor services, retail operations, facility rentals, and workshop coordination to ensure quality customer service and community engagement with visual arts programming. Pay Range $22 - $25/hr DOE Schedule Up to 32 hours/week with optional workshop teaching opportunities Benefits Employee discount on workshops, classes, and gift shop merchandise Paid time off, including holidays, vacation, and sick time IRA matching (after six months) Health insurance reimbursement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Retail Management Schedule and train front desk staff on POS system and customer service Using Shopify, manage inventory: purchasing, pricing, receiving, and annual reconciliation Develop consigned artist partnerships and maintain vendor relationships locally and nationally Create merchandising displays and promotional plans Coordinate holiday gift show with exhibitions and front desk staff Generate deposits and monthly consigned sales reports Handle inquiries about facility, classes, exhibits, and events Facility Rentals and Events Manage private and non-profit facility bookings Coordinate scheduling across departments and community calendar Process invoices, collect payments, and communicate with cleaning services Conduct post-event facility inspections Support special events (Girl's Night Out, First Friday, Benefit Art Auction) Liaison with Kittitas Chamber of Commerce, Ellensburg Downtown Association and community partners Coordinate Community & Private Workshops Recruit, onboard, and schedule community workshop instructors Coordinate workshop details: descriptions, materials, fees, scheduling Create Shopify products and community gallery events Submit social media requests Submit instructor payment requests Manage registration reminders and feedback surveys Handle instructor and participant inquiries Coordinate private art parties and specialty classes Conduct annual instructor meetings Administrative Support Order office, building, and retail supplies Assist with facility maintenance as needed How to Apply To apply, please email a cover letter and resume, with the subject "(Your Name) Operations Manager Position" to director@gallery-one.org.
