PAS supports private, corporate, charter, cargo, and special mission aviation activity and is positioned as a premium, hospitality-driven operation within the broader Paine Field environment. Our operation is built around three core expectations: safety, operational excellence, and high-touch customer experience. PAS is expected to deliver a polished, professional, and responsive experience for aircraft operators, passengers, crews, tenants, and partners while maintaining a disciplined and efficient airside operation. This role is based on-airport and operates within a fast-moving environment that requires visible leadership, strong communication, and the ability to move between operational oversight, team accountability, and hands-on support when needed. Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operations at PAS run with consistency, accountability, and strong communication across all teams. This role is a key leadership position within the operation, providing a visible, hands-on presence while driving execution, reinforcing ownership, and supporting operational flow across ramp, concierge, fuel, safety, and support functions. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership and management capability, is comfortable leading from the front, and can build credibility with the team through presence, judgment, follow-through, and operational understanding. Core Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations across ramp, concierge, fuel, safety, and support functions.
  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and follow-through across operational activities.
  • Identify and resolve breakdowns in communication, execution, or service delivery before they escalate.
  • Provide visible, on-the-ground leadership and support within the operation.
  • Conduct shift briefings, team check-ins, and other communication rhythms that keep departments aligned.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Conduct performance management, coaching, and corrective action as needed in coordination with leadership and HR processes.
  • Reinforce operational standards, service expectations, and day-to-day discipline across the operation.
  • Support high-demand periods including cargo operations, peak traffic, irregular operations, and special events.
  • Maintain strong coordination across ramp, concierge, facilities, and safety-related functions. Operational and Safety Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and security procedures across the operation.
  • Support safety program execution, training coordination, observations, and documentation, including IS-BAH-related expectations as applicable.
  • Participate in incident response, investigation follow-up, and operational recovery as needed.
  • Support GSE readiness, facility conditions, and operational equipment awareness in coordination with the appropriate functional owners.
  • Maintain working awareness of fuel farm operations and fuel quality control requirements sufficient to coordinate effectively and lead credibly within the operation.
  • Help ensure the operation is prepared to respond to changing customer demand, weather, and operational disruptions. Customer Experience and Team Leadership
  • Maintain a high standard of hospitality and customer experience consistent with PAS expectations.
  • Act as an escalation point for service issues and support effective service recovery when needed.
  • Lead by example in a way that builds trust, accountability, and credibility with the team.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, including emerging leaders, to strengthen bench depth and operational consistency.
  • Create a culture of responsiveness, professionalism, and ownership across the operation. What Success Looks Like
  • Operations run smoothly without unnecessary escalation to senior leadership.
  • Team members understand their roles, communicate proactively, and follow through consistently.
  • The operation feels structured, controlled, and professional rather than reactive.
  • Operational issues are identified early and addressed quickly.
  • Customer experience remains high even during busy or complex operating periods.
  • Team capability improves over time through coaching, accountability, and mentorship. Qualifications
  • Proven leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on environment and lead from the front, building credibility through presence, judgment, and follow-through.
  • Experience in aviation, FBO operations, cargo operations, airport operations, or a comparable hands-on operational setting is strongly preferred. Candidates without direct aviation experience must demonstrate the ability to quickly learn operational workflows and build credibility within a technical, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical workflows and build credibility with operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain airport badge access and any other required credentials.
