Job Description

Full Job Description Holtger Bros., Inc. is looking for an experienced Field HDD Trainer to develop and deliver hands-on training for underground utility construction crews. This role focuses on Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), heavy equipment operation, safety compliance, and employee development. Responsibilities Train field employees on HDD equipment, trenchers, cable plows, and safe work practices. Develop and update training materials, lesson plans, and field guides. Conduct hands-on equipment training and field evaluations. Support safety initiatives and work closely with leadership to reduce workplace risks. Travel to all company job sites. Qualifications 5+ years of training experience, preferably in utility construction or telecommunications. Strong knowledge of HDD operations, heavy equipment, and OSHA regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL Preferred). What to Expect Full-time position averaging 50 hours per week. Frequent travel to company job sites throughout Wisconsin and out-of-state locations as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
