Operations Manager - Dairy Equipment Ederer's Professional Dairy Service Plain, WI Full Job Description Ederer's Professional Dairy Service is a growing, family-oriented dairy equipment company serving Wisconsin dairy farms. We specialize in DeLaval milking parlors, rotary parlors, full dairy supply sales & service, and dairy herd management software solutions. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize our Service and Parts operations at our Plain location. This key leadership role will provide hands-on oversight of service delivery and parts management while working closely with our Service and Parts Managers to drive efficiency, profitability, and outstanding support for local dairy farmers. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Service and Parts departments Collaborate with the Service Manager and Parts Manager to set goals, monitor performance, and implement improvements Track and improve key metrics including technician productivity, response times, parts inventory turns, gross margins, and customer satisfaction Identify and implement process enhancements in scheduling, dispatch, work orders, inventory management, and customer workflows Manage department budgets and contribute to overall profitability Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance with manufacturer (DeLaval and others) requirements Deliver excellent service and support to our dairy farm customers Work cross-functionally with sales and installation teams for seamless operations Support recruitment, training, and development of technicians and support staff What We're Looking For 5+ years of operations or management experience in equipment service, agriculture, dairy, heavy machinery, or a related technical field Experience working with or leading service and parts teams Strong understanding of P&L responsibility, inventory control, and service operations Must be comfortable with computers and technology (service management software, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, etc.) Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Technical aptitude and a customer-first mindset Dairy or agricultural equipment background (especially DeLaval) is a strong plus What We Offer Competitive base salary + performance bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k plan Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to play a significant leadership role in a well-established, growing dairy service company that truly values quality If you are a proactive operations leader who enjoys optimizing teams and processes while supporting Wisconsin's dairy industry, we encourage you to apply!
