Job Description
Molding Operations Superintendent
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Molding Operations Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all molding department activities. Responsibilities include ensuring quality of molded parts and production requirements are met, as well as, production floor 5S requirements are met. This position is also accountable for personnel staffing and must be safety conscious and ensure Team Members are working in a safe manner.JOB DUTIES
- Must be able to interact effectively with many internal and external customers and regulatory officials; strong communication skills and demonstrate a positive attitude for this position.
- Supervise and manage company and third-party support personnel (production operators, contractors and service providers).
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, environmental, regulatory, federal, state and other regulatory requirements.
- Maximize quality and productivity.
- Oversee facility and operations to achieve company goals within budgeted funds and available personnel.
- Plan and organize workloads and staff assignments, review progress, direct changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in an efficient, timely and up to quality standard.
- Must have the ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in technical or operations field, previous supervisory/lead experience and maintenance experience desired, will consider combination of education and experience
- Injection Molding experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Excellent decision making, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills are required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail; Highly organized
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Bias for Safety
