Order Support Technician As an Order Support Technician, you will be managing releases, picking, configuration, packing, shipping, and systemic install of complex networking equipment. You will utilize various software systems for order management, equipment configuration, and inventory transactions. You will also work cross-functionally with Business Test & Turn Up (BTTU), Project Management, Network Engineering, Carrier Account Management, and IP Operations teams to ensure order accuracy. The Order Support Technician will also perform firmware updates and provisioning managed services on equipment - ensuring that each order is correctly fulfilled, defect free, and has the correct shipping information attached.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Configure equipment utilizing pre-designed templates and systems including MetaSolv, Q-Manager, PuTTy, SecureCRT, N-Command, Monday.com, and Oracle EBS to execute all aspects of configuration, update, and order management. Reserve static IP address and utilize established templates to configure Wi-Fi routers and
HPBX VOIP
phones. Recognize and differentiate between templates including SIP Trunking, PRI, and POTS Configure network switches for pre-determined account services. Recognize network equipment functionality and various hardware configurations to help identify potential issues with orders. Utilize critical thinking to recommend substitute equipment as needed. Familiarity with specific brands of equipment including, but not limited to Adtran, Ruckus, Ekinops, Nokia, Polycom, Cisco, Yealink, Eero, Accedian, etc. Ensure the commercial order fulfillment process is tracked and maintains efficiencies in accordance with the organization's standard, including prompt, accurate, cost effective, and accurately transferred orders. Verify and maintain accurate and real time information of past, present, and future shipments. Maintain and retrieve the required materials to fulfill commercial purchase orders and arrange the requested items in containers and bins, following the organization's specific standard and instructions Performing general warehouse duties as directed.
Utilization of shipping software:
FedEx & UPS World Ship Utilize Oracle Order Management system to release, pull, ship, and receive orders and Monday.com order management tool to log information and prioritize orders. Assisting in maintaining inventory accuracy and in stock replenishment and storage. Packaging orders in accordance with the organization's standards to ensure minimal risk of damage following standard operating procedures including when loading pallets and securing with stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strapping. Keeping record of incoming and outgoing shipments; photographing where necessary. Picking customer orders using a barcode scanner to pull items from shelves/bins. Audit the orders to make sure they are picked with accuracy. Report any potential warehouse safety hazards to leadership. Ensure each shipment labels are attached and accurately reflect the shipment order. Other job-related duties as requested
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Basic understanding of office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite products, word/excel/PowerPoint. Demonstrate a positive attitude, self-motivation, and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to solve problems and execute solutions. Excellent organization along with verbal and oral communication skills. Ability to lift at minimum 40 lbs. Must be legally authorized to work in the
