In this energetic role, you will lead a team of order pickers, oversee daily distribution activities, and implement process improvements that boost productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of order pickers, assigning tasks, and overseeing daily operations to meet order fulfillment targets. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Motivate and encourage team members to maintain productivity and accuracy in order picking tasks.

Order Picking and Fulfillment:

Coordinate order picking activities based on customer orders and shipping schedules. Ensure accurate picking of products according to order specifications, utilizing pick tickets or digital systems. Conduct accuracy checks on picked items to ensure all items are picked in accordance with the pick ticket.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and assist in cycle counts and periodic stock checks to maintain accuracy. Collaborate with inventory lead and management to identify discrepancies, resolve inventory issues, and optimize inventory control procedures.

Workflow Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with warehouse manager and other departments to ensure smooth order processing and shipment schedules. Communicate effectively with team members regarding task assignments, priorities, and any changes in procedures or schedules.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and guidelines for order picking activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to order picking, inventory management, and workplace safety.

Reporting and Documentation:

Utilizing the printed pick ticket report to maintain accurate records of printed pick tickets and generate reports on productivity for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or inventory management, with preferred leadership or supervisory experience. Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software for order processing and tracking. Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members. Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management. Physical ability to lift and move products up to 50lbs and perform warehouse duties as required. Knowing how to operate material handling equipment a plus (i.e. ride along pallet jack)

Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Additional certifications or training in warehouse management or related fields are a plus.
