Join our team as a Showroom Selector, where you'll play a key role in helping customers find the products they need while ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. In this position, you'll work directly in our showroom selecting foodservice products, from our warehouse, to assist customers with their orders. We are Wagner Foodservice, a one of a kind food distribution company location in Glen Burnie, MD. For over 50 years we have been providing various food products and services to a number establishments within a 100 mile radius. We deliver food to restaurants, bars, gas stations, etc. and we provide service by installing, maintaining, and repairing dishware and beverage equipment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Showroom Selector is responsible for preparing merchandise and packing items appropriately to client's orders and special instructions. The Showroom Selector connects operations between the back and front of the house. The ideal candidate is organized, takes direction well, has decent physical stamina, and pays attention to detail.
JOB DUTIES
: Provides service to all customers including but not limited to pricing and product inquiries. Reviews customer orders. Selects specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer's order. Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery to prepare orders for pickup. Visually inspections of orders to ensure they are accurate. Stages customer orders in pick up areas. Labels customer order correctly for easy identification. Keeps the showroom clean and always organized. Assist customers in loading products to their vehicle. Provide support to other departments when needed.
COMPETENCIES
: Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jack. Excellent customer service skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly with all team-members. Ability to understand and adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
: Minimum one year of experience as order selector preferred. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical stamina to lift heavy loads and remain standing for long periods of time. Available to work overtime, Saturdays, and holidays per business necessity.
