Order Management Specialist Job Description We are seeking an Order Management Specialist to work closely with sales to confirm pricing and clarify customer requirements. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the order fulfillment process, from order entry to confirmation, purchasing buy-to-order materials, and managing customer records. Your role will also involve entering customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing from quote to invoice, and following up on customer orders to increase the percentage of on-time deliveries. Responsibilities Collaborate with sales to confirm pricing and clarify customer requirements. Perform all phases of the order fulfillment process, including order entry, confirmation, purchasing buy-to-order materials, and creating picklists and jobs. Enter customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing from quote to invoice. Follow up on customer orders to increase the percentage of on-time deliveries and communicate changes promptly. Answer phone calls and emails, qualifying incoming calls and emails for proper routing and assistance. Assist customers with requests regarding order status, stock status, list pricing, tracking numbers, etc. Maintain written and/or electronic records of relevant customer correspondence for review. Develop friendly working relationships and positive rapport with customers. Monitor the progress of orders to ensure they follow the schedule, and communicate with all relevant employees to ensure delivery times are met promptly. Essential Skills Proficiency in order entry and data entry. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook. Attention to detail. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field. ERP knowledge is a plus but not required. Basic math and reading skills. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
