Job Description
Position Overview:
The Work Order & Purchase Order Specialist is responsible for accurately processing, entering, and maintaining purchase orders (POs) and work orders in the company's systems. This role ensures timely and precise data entry, supports purchasing and operations teams, and helps maintain accurate records to facilitate smooth business operations.Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update purchase orders, work orders, and related information in the ERP or database system. Review incoming PO and work order requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization. Track and monitor the status of orders, providing updates to relevant departments as needed. Communicate with vendors, suppliers, or internal teams to resolve discrepancies or clarify order details. Maintain organized records of POs, work orders, and related documentation for easy retrieval. Assist in preparing reports related to purchase and work order activity. Support the purchasing and operations teams with administrative tasks as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and record-keeping standards.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in data entry, order processing, purchasing, or a related administrative role. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills for coordinating between departments and vendors. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Job Type:
