Pay Range:

$15.50 General Description The LCS FNS (Food Nutrition Service) Packer will assist the FNS Manager with the execution of processing, packing and distribution of product according to distribution guidelines for the USDA food service programs. This is a seasonal position with work available during the school year and unpaid leave during school breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack meals, totes, and other items to be delivered to schools Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the packing and storage areas Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, clients and donors Execute proper, safe food handling, packaging and preparation Meet the goals set by the FNS Manager for production and cleanliness Work with the team to accomplish production numbers Cooperate with the FNS Manager on schedules, maintenance and cleanliness Offer a personable and positive interaction with those we serve Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by working with other staff for regular deep cleaning in addition to daily work area clean up. Execute duties while following all, sanitation, health and LCS policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned by the

FNS Manager Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred The ability to pay excellent attention to detail Good verbal communication skills The ability to work well on a team General knowledge of safe food handling, packaging, and preparation Able to lift up to 50lbs. on a regular basis 90% standing or walking/ 10% sitting This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
