JOB SUMMARY

Lumper will count, stack, measures, and verifies contents of shipments against lumping receipts.

TO 6PM RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with scheduler and receivers for the daily workload. Offload inbound trucks in a timely manner. Breaks down pallets according to Lumper sheets. Examines articles for defects and sorts of articles according to the extent of the defect. Manage dock space to ensure efficient work methods. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be detail oriented. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
