Warehouse Worker Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work in a very clean, fast-paced warehouse environment where you help receive, store, and ship a wide range of products, from essential protective equipment to scientific tools. You will contribute directly to supporting science and education by ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and safe operation of warehouse equipment while working as part of a dependable team. Responsibilities Operate a cherry picker safely and efficiently to pick and move inventory within the warehouse. Palletize and wrap a minimum of 13 pallets per shift, ensuring stability and accuracy of loads. Load outgoing trucks carefully and accurately to meet shipping schedules and customer requirements. Process customer orders daily using RF scanner technology to meet service expectations. Work in one or more process paths, including receiving, picking, packing, or shipping, depending on operational needs. Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures, including completing required documentation for hazardous materials. Help ensure inventory is stored properly and organized to maintain an efficient and safe warehouse. Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move products and pallets as needed. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including scanning, picking, and packaging. Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required protective footwear, and report any issues or hazards promptly. Lift, carry, and push heavy items frequently as part of daily warehouse operations. Work collaboratively with team members while also being able to work independently and solve problems quickly. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience operating a cherry picker forklift in a warehouse environment. Proficiency with RF scanner guns for order picking and inventory management. Hands-on experience in order pulling, picking, packaging, and material handling. Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including palletizing and loading trucks. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach for significant periods of time throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 70 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation. High school diploma or equivalent (copy of diploma or transcript required). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Strong desire to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems quickly in a warehouse setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, fast-paced warehouse environment with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available as needed. You will spend most of the day on your feet, moving throughout the warehouse and performing tasks that involve walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting. The position requires frequent handling of items up to 70 lbs and occasional handling of items up to 100 lbs. You will regularly operate a cherry picker, use RF scanner guns, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, and work within receiving, picking, packing, and shipping areas. Standard operating procedures guide packaging and labeling, including hazardous materials documentation. Steel-toed boots are required as part of the dress code to maintain a safe working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
