Warehouse Packager

Description:

CanFab, a division of VMC Group, is seeking a Packager to manually package materials and products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely preparation for shipment or production use.

Responsibilities not limited to:

Cleans packaging containers. Lines and pads, crates and assembles cartons. Obtains and sorts the product. Wraps protective material around the product. Inserts product into containers or fills containers. Weighs containers and adjusts quantity. Nails or closes and seals containers. Labels containers, container tags, or products. Sorts bundles or filled containers. Packs special arrangements or selections of products. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process. Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.

Requirements:

Able to read and understand simple instructions and communicate clearly in writing and verbally with customers and team members. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using money, weight, volume, and distance. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Work Environment Typical production environment. Willing and able to work additional hours as needed. The noise level is usually loud. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Familiar with power tools and hand tools
