Job Description

The Cannabis Packaging Associate is responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and preparing cannabis products for distribution in accordance with company standards and California cannabis regulations. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment, and a commitment to maintaining product quality, compliance, and workplace safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Package cannabis flower and other cannabis products according to company specifications and production schedules. Apply labels, tamper-evident seals, and compliance stickers accurately to finished products. Verify product weights, counts, batch information, and packaging quality before finalizing products. Inspect products for quality, consistency, and defects throughout the packaging process. Assemble packaging materials, including jars, bags, boxes, and other product containers. Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation. Follow all state regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with company policies. Adhere to all workplace safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with inventory counts, material staging, and production support as needed. Meet daily productivity and quality goals while maintaining accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to pass all required background checks in accordance with California cannabis regulations. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work in a repetitive production environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or cannabis industry experience. Familiarity with California cannabis compliance requirements is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent use of hands and fingers to package and label products. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions. Sufficient visual acuity to inspect products and labels for quality and accuracy. Work Environment Indoor production and manufacturing environment. Exposure to cannabis products and odors throughout the workday. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with production deadlines. Use of PPE may be required.
