Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team in a fast-paced food processing plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packaged efficiently and safely, adhering to all food safety regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of food production processes and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Duties Accurately package food products according to specifications and quality standards. Operate packaging machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance. Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in the fabrication of products as needed, including meat cutting and preparation tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, adhering to sanitation standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Track supply inventory for packaging materials. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or food processing preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating packaging equipment effectively. Ability to use knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently in a meat cutting environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Excellent teamwork and leadership skills with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in food production. -Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not necessary.
