About the RoleThe Packaging Specialist I is responsible for supporting the packaging, labeling, and quality inspection of cannabis products within Green Dot Labs' production facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products are accurately packaged, meet company quality standards, and comply with all regulatory requirements before distribution.
Working closely with the Packaging Lead and Production team, this position performs packaging, labeling, product inspection, and production support activities while maintaining accurate documentation and a clean, organized work environment. This is an entry-level production role designed to build foundational packaging knowledge while contributing to operational efficiency and product quality. ResponsibilitiesPackaging & Production Operations Package, label, and prepare cannabis products in accordance with production schedules and company standardsGram concentrates and package finished products as assignedAssemble packaging components and prepare finished goods for inventory and distributionSupport daily production goals by maintaining efficient packaging workflowsAssist with flower, concentrate, and pre-roll packaging activities as business needs requireMaintain accurate packaging logs and production records Quality Control & Compliance Perform routine quality checks on products, packaging components, and labelsVerify finished products meet company quality standards and production specificationsFollow all state regulations and internal compliance proceduresEnsure all work is completed in accordance with SOPs and operational standardsIdentify and report product quality concerns or production issues to leadership Facility Maintenance & Safety Maintain clean, organized, and compliant workstations throughout the packaging areaClean packaging equipment, tools, and work surfacesProperly handle packaging materials and finished productsFollow all PPE requirements and safety protocolsSupport general housekeeping and sanitation throughout the production area Operational Support Assist with inventory counts, production documentation, and material organizationSupport Packaging, Inventory, Production, and Order Fulfillment teams as operational needs requireParticipate in required compliance, safety, and operational trainingAssist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assignedPerform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious manufacturing, production, warehouse, or packaging experience preferredPrevious experience working in a licensed cannabis facility preferredMust possess and maintain an active MED BadgeMust be able to pass applicable background investigation requirementsStrong attention to detail and commitment to product qualityAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentationReliable transportation required Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role is primarily onsite in Boulder, CO and requires regular work within a cannabis production and packaging environment. The position typically follows a 40-hour workweek based on operational needs.
The role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive hand movements, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Work is performed in a regulated production environment and may involve handling cannabis products, packaging materials, and production equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, eye protection, hair nets, and other required safety equipment, must be worn as required.
