Job Summary:
The Bulk Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing large-quantity food product orders for the batching team. This role ensures inventory is handled safely and efficiently, in compliance with food safety standards and company protocols. This role is required to verify, pick, and organize all material necessary for a batch to ensure accuracy for each recipe within a 24 hour period.
Key Responsibilities:
Select bulk food products based on order pick lists. Safely operate pallet jacks (manual/electric), forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as needed. Weigh, label, and verify food items according to specifications. Prepare and stage pallets for each individual recipe ensuring accuracy to the batch pick slip. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety guidelines. Maintain accurate records of picked items, lot numbers, and quantities. Identify damaged or incorrect products and report to supervisor. Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet deadlines.
Experience:
Prior experience in warehouse operations, order picking, or logistics is preferred but not mandatory Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely Be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects safely
