Non-Exempt Job Summary The Parts Sales Picker and Packer plays a vital support role in the parts department by accurately picking, packing, and preparing parts orders for shipment. This position works closely with the Parts Specialist to ensure customers (dealers and end-users) receive the correct components for Ring-O-Matic vacuum excavation machines and related equipment quickly and in good condition. The role focuses on efficient order fulfillment, warehouse organization, and physical handling of parts in a fast-paced manufacturing and aftermarket environment. Key Responsibilities Pick parts from inventory according to sales orders generated by the Parts Specialist, ensuring the correct part numbers, quantities, and specifications are selected. Verify picked items against order documentation for accuracy before packing. Carefully package parts for outbound shipment, including proper protection, labeling, and inclusion of required documentation (packing slips, instructions, etc.). Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with the Parts Specialist or logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Assist in maintaining an organized and clean parts room and warehouse area. Perform cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and general warehouse organization as needed. Help receive incoming parts and put them away in the correct locations. Support the Parts Specialist by pulling and staging parts needed for internal manufacturing, service, or special orders. Contribute to continuous improvement of the picking, packing, and shipping processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, carts, etc.) and handle materials according to safety guidelines. Lift and move parts and packages up to 50 lbs. regularly. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1+ year of experience in warehouse picking, packing, shipping, or general labor in a parts/inventory environment preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment, construction, or automotive industries is a plus. Ability to read and understand parts lists, order tickets, and basic inventory documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy to prevent shipping errors. Basic computer skills (ability to use inventory/ERP systems, email, and Microsoft Office). Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physical tasks in a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus. Preferred Skills Familiarity with parts numbering systems and warehouse best practices. Experience supporting a parts sales or counter team. Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in heavy equipment. Positive team-player attitude with a strong focus on supporting the Parts Specialist and customer satisfaction.
