Nights SUMMARY:
Identifies and segregates defective material within individual slit rolls. Combines leftover good material into finished rolls and palletizes for shipment to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Facilitate on the job training and instruction for team members on the correct use of tools and equipment to ensure proper safety and operating procedures are followed. Mounts slit rolls of product onto shaft of machine using lift cart. Removes rolls as well. Sets up and makes necessary adjustments to the machine. Must be able to identify defects and splice good material together per spec. Reads and understands specs of products being run. Must know packaging materials required for palletizing finished product also. Occasionally uses hand tools to prepare packaging materials. Completes daily production reports. Operates stretch wrap machine to wrap finished pallets. Regularly cleans machine and surrounding area. Actively participates in safety programs and makes safety observations. EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Dr Winder experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
