Family owned and run company for two generations, we import fruits & vegetables from all over the country and other parts of the world to distribute to local markets. We are looking to complement our growth by selecting staff that will enhance our company's mission to provide quality service and products. Midwest Foods is looking to hire experienced loaders to join our order fulfillment team! Loaders are responsible for accurately loading our customer orders into trucks for delivery the following business day. Orders are loaded into our trucks using only an electric pallet jack (EPJ/Rider), in order of the rout stops.

Shift:

3rd (start time between 7PM and 9PM) Full-Time Sunday through Friday Saturday and 1 alternating weekday off. Availability to work overtime and holidays is required.

Responsibilities:

Load pallets on the trucks with an Electric Pallet Jackwhile following the routing sheets. Loading short items by hand. Fill out paperwork for all items shipped. Follow GMPs and Food safety guidelines, ensuring that all products are properly staged, avoiding cross contamination and damaged products. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Job Requirements:

Must have experience operating an Electric Pallet-Jack aka Walkie Rider. ((REQUIRED)) Must be able to work night shift, weekends and holidays. Able to read and write English. Must be able to work in cold environment (30 degree coolers) Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 60lb by hand majority of the shift. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
