Warehouse Picker - 1PM-10PM shift - Food Distribution Chefs Kitchen Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time Up to $19 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Spanish English Forklift Picking & packing Order picking Full Job Description Job Summary We are currently hiring for the position of warehouse picker to join our picking team for early afternoon to evening order fulfillment teams. Responsibilities and Duties The Order Filler/Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Filler is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

Order Picking:

Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag, or mark orders as requested.

Repack:

Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary. Report quality variances.

Quality:

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Equipment:

Operate forklift in performance of order filling duties when required. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment.

Inventory:

Conduct physical inventories as required.

Safety, Sanitation, Security:

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards. Qualifications and Skills Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Operate manual and/or electric stand up pallet jack Operate mechanical fork truck as needed Detailed oriented Work in a fast paced industry Food industry knowledge (Restaurant items) Work with team of pickers and prioritize orders and staging of product Bilingual (Spanish and English)
