Material Handler - Forklift Operator 1st - 6am-2:30pm
DIRECT HIRE
Job Description This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. You will operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes to deliver raw materials and finished components to machine operators, welders, assemblers, and other production areas, ensuring a smooth and continuous workflow. Responsibilities Pull materials from storage locations and move them to and from workstations to support production needs. Primarily support the small parts welding area by delivering required materials and removing completed components. Assist machine operators and other fabrication departments by staging materials and finished products as needed. Unload incoming trucks using an overhead crane and properly stage materials in the warehouse. Follow work orders and production schedules to ensure each department has the materials needed to run efficiently. Transport finished products from the small parts area to the next step in the production process or store them in the warehouse as required. Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Lift and move materials, boxes, and components weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. Use RF scanners and related equipment to support picking, shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading activities. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and guidelines. Essential Skills Proven material handling experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift. Ability to safely operate an overhead crane. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Experience with packaging, lifting boxes, and packing orders in a production setting. in general production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations. Experience with shipping and receiving, including loading, unloading, and staging materials. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment. Experience using RF scanners for picking, inventory, or shipping activities. Capability to work effectively in a heavy industrial environment and around large equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Crystal Lake, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr. Great company benefits.
