Job Description

StaffQuick is Hiring a Crate Builder in Galesburg, Illinois! StaffQuick hires for Temporary, Temp-to-Permanent, and Permanent Jobs throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee. Details:
Crate Builder Galesburg, Illinois Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm $18-21 depending on experience Responsibilities or job duties: Build custom wooden crates for national and international shipments Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and saws Read and use a tape measure accurately to ensure proper dimensions Prepare equipment for shipment by securing, bracing, and protecting items inside crates Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment to move products as needed Inspect finished crates and packaging to ensure quality and shipping standards are met Label, stage, and prepare completed crates for shipment Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to build crates correctly Operate an overhead crane to safely move and position heavy equipment and materials
Qualifications:
HS diploma/GED or equivalent Reliable transportation Experience in assembly Ability to accurately read tape measures 6mo.+ forklift experience, client will certify
