In this role, you will be responsible for selecting, sorting, and preparing pumpkins for distribution and sale. Your energetic approach will ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of our seasonal harvest operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop warehouse skills, and be part of a vibrant community celebration. Duties Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport pumpkins within the warehouse and distribution areas Use barcode scanners and inventory management systems to accurately track pumpkin stock levels and update records in real-time Select pumpkins with precision using order pickers and manual handling techniques to fulfill customer orders efficiently Pack and prepare pumpkins for shipping or display, ensuring quality control standards are met Maintain safety protocols by using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks Assist with inventory management tasks including stocking, stock rotation, and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels Support shipping & receiving processes by loading/unloading trucks and verifying shipments against documentation Experience Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided Experience operating warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems is advantageous Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Prior experience in order fulfillment, packing, shipping & receiving, or quality control roles will be beneficial Join us in creating a lively harvest experience!
