Picker & Packer $17.50-19/HR Job Description This role supports a fast-growing distribution operation by accurately processing, auditing, and shipping customer orders on the 2nd shift. You will handle a variety of warehouse activities, including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks, while maintaining high-quality standards and contributing to a clean, efficient, and production-focused environment. Responsibilities Process and audit customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. Process and audit company products to align with specific customer requirements. Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to order specifications. Ship completed orders to designated customer locations using established procedures. Inspect products to verify they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Sort and count parts to support accurate order fulfillment and inventory control. Collect cardboard and other packing materials and place them into the compactor to maintain a clean work area. Assist with shipping, receiving, and labeling activities as needed. Follow production goals and timelines to support a fast-paced, production-based environment. Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and operational guidelines while working on the 2nd shift. Essential Skills Prior experience working in a warehouse environment. Experience with order picking and pulling products for shipment. Experience with packing products for shipment in an accurate and organized manner. Experience with shipping processes, including preparing orders for outbound delivery. Experience with receiving processes, including checking and organizing incoming goods. Experience with inventory activities such as counting, tracking, and organizing stock. Ability to sort and count parts with attention to detail. Ability to perform labeling tasks accurately for orders and inventory. Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-focused setting. Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production, packaging, or distribution operations. Familiarity with basic order picking and packaging tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail when auditing orders and inspecting products. Ability to work effectively on a 2nd shift schedule. Willingness to support multiple warehouse functions, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milan, IL.
