Job Description
Quality Control & Packaging Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Control & Packaging Specialist. This role is responsible for ensuring that every product meets our quality standards before it reaches our customers. The ideal candidate enjoys repetitive, process-driven work, takes pride in accuracy, and understands that even the smallest detail matters. This position combines quality inspection, testing, product labeling, packaging, inventory receiving, and documentation within our Quality Management System (QMS). Success in this role requires consistency, organization, and a commitment to following established procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough quality control inspections and functional testing of incoming and finished products. Identify, document, and report quality issues or discrepancies. Complete accurate inspection records, testing logs, and documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS). Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming products from suppliers. Verify product quantities, lot numbers, and traceability information. Prepare and apply product labels according to Device Master Records and regulatory requirements. Package products according to Device Master specifications and established best practices. Verify that all products are correctly labeled, packaged, and ready for inventory or shipment. Record inventory transactions, quantities, and lot numbers in Fishbowl Inventory. Verify pick lists, product descriptions, quantities, and shipping information before orders are released. Maintain organized records and archive quality documentation. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with quality standards. Work closely with the Production Manager to support production, packaging, and continuous quality improvement. Qualifications High School diploma (or equivalent). Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow documented procedures precisely. Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of focus. Self-driven, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills and comfort entering data accurately. Experience with quality control, inspection, manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries is preferred but not required. Experience with inventory management systems (such as Fishbowl) is a plus. Dental or orthodontic industry knowledge is a plus but not required.
