Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for an RTE Utility . The RTE Utility plays a critical support role within the packaging department by ensuring efficient material flow, sanitation, and equipment readiness. This position assists packaging and cutting teams by transporting rework, preparing equipment, staging products, and supporting cleanliness throughout the production cycle. The ideal candidate is highly dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold environment with frequent lifting and movement. Essential Duties Transport rework combos to designated cutters, accurately document weights, and properly label all combos. Prepare trucks for cutters by staging them, removing rods, and pushing empty trucks and rods into the washroom for cleaning. Gather empty lugs from Multivac machines and bring them into the washroom; retrieve clean lugs and assist in lid preparation. Pull completed 10-pound carts from cutters and stage them appropriately in the holding room. Assist in the tear-out process by removing products from the line and sorting good packages from defective ones. Provide coverage for team member bathroom breaks as needed to maintain production continuity. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in a food processing or packaging environment is a plus. Ability to follow directions, SOPs, and safety protocols precisely. Basic math and documentation skills for recording weights and counts. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand and walk for 8-10 hours per shift. Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. required. Must be able to push, pull, bend, and twist repeatedly throughout the day. Work is performed in a cold, refrigerated environment. PPE must be worn at all times in production areas. Noise levels may vary due to equipment and production activity.
