at Aerotek in WAUKEGAN, Illinois, United States Job Description Picker / Material Handler We're looking for a detail-oriented Picker / Material Handler to support our cleanroom kit assembly operations. In this role, you'll use RF scanners and pick sheets to locate, count, and transport materials needed for production. Success in this position requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to stay active throughout the day in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities + Pick and verify materials using RF scanners and pick sheets. + Accurately count products and pull the correct quantities, even when order amounts differ from package quantities. + Load picked materials into totes and place them on conveyor systems for delivery to cleanroom production teams. + Transport materials safely throughout the warehouse and production areas. + Follow written work instructions, quality standards, and operating procedures. + Assist with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse functions as needed. + Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies when identified. + Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. + Partner with assemblers and warehouse team members to ensure materials are available for production schedules. Qualifications + Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling environment preferred. + Experience with RF scanners, inventory systems, or order-picking equipment is a plus. + Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate counts. + Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift. + Ability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds regularly. + Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with production deadlines. + Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures. Preferred Experience + Picking, packing, shipping, or receiving experience. + Manufacturing or production experience. + Cleanroom experience, including gowning and contamination-control practices. + Medical device, healthcare, or kit assembly experience. Work Environment This position supports a cleanroom manufacturing operation and requires frequent walking between inventory locations, staging areas, and production lines. Team members use RF scanners, totes, and conveyor systems to keep materials flowing to assembly teams. Employees entering cleanroom areas must follow gowning and appearance guidelines to maintain strict cleanliness and quality standards.

6:00 AM
  • 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with every-other-Saturday overtime.
+ 2nd
Shift:
2:30 PM
  • 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with possible overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00
  • $20.
00/hr.
