Job Description

Job Title:
Warehouse Picker and Packer Location:
Decatur, Indiana Reports to: Warehouse Manager $15-17/hour - Flexible position for Moms.
Job Overview:
Our beautiful warehouse is equipped with everything but YOU! The spacious Betsey's Boutique Shop Warehouse was added to the operation in 2022 and provides 40,000 square feet of inventory work space. The Betsey's Boutique Shop Warehouse Picker and Packer is responsible for efficiently and accurately selecting and packing merchandise in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with an amazing work family.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Receiving +
Restocking:
Replenish stock levels as needed Assist with restocking and organizing inventory to optimize warehouse space and efficiency. Receive product upon deliver As a team player, the position may also include:
Order Picking:
Retrieve products from shelves or storage locations based on pick lists. Verify product specifications, quantities, and condition to ensure accuracy. Use hand-held scanners or computerized systems to track items and update inventory records.
Packing:
Pack items securely into boxes or containers to prevent damage during transit. Label packages with shipping information and ensure proper documentation is included. Follow brand packing guidelines and standards to maintain product integrity.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow. Assist with training new employees and sharing best practices. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift and move heavy items (usually up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]). Familiarity with warehouse management systems and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is advantageous. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic math skills for handling inventory and order quantities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Capacity to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature changes and noise levels.
Working Conditions:
Clean and temperature controlled warehouse environment Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
