Job Title:
Industrial Sheet Metal Packer Job Description This role involves handling large sheet metal in an industrial setting, rather than typical warehouse packing. The position requires physical stamina and attention to detail. Responsibilities Hand stack metal sheets with a team. Conduct quality inspections to identify errors. Load and unload sheets of metal from the line. Band materials for shipment. Prepare pallets for shipping. Bolt down steel before shipment. Prep pallets for steel placement. Assist with additional duties as needed, maintaining a flexible approach. Remain on feet for 10-12 hours a day. Essential Skills Experience in production, warehouse, packing, shipping, receiving, packaging, and manufacturing. Ability to stack and manage industrial materials efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse settings is advantageous. Construction experience is a plus due to labor intensity. While not overly dirty, it is a steel processing plant where clothes may get soiled. The team supplies steel for Ford F-150s and operates within a flat roll steel processing plant. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
