P1 Construction is seeking Warehouse Piping Shipping & Receiving personnel for our Lawrence, KS shop. Join our P1 Team! Job Summary This position is responsible for piping materials, including accurately receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining shipping and receiving records, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. Working hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Responsibilities and Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming piping shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents. Prepare, pack, label, and stage outgoing piping shipments for delivery or carrier pickup. Load and unload piping using proper safety procedures and equipment. Check piping shipments for accuracy, damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors. Process piping shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and inventory records. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent required. At least 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control preferred. This position is represented by Local Union 441 Metal Trades. Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and product labels. Basic computer skills and experience using scanners, inventory systems, or shipping software preferred. Basic math and reading skills. Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred; certification is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Benefits Insurance Benefits are through Local Union 441. Per Local Union 441 agreement, Metal Trades positions will accrue 5.33 hours/month after 6 months of employment. A maximum of 16 hours of unused PTO may be rolled over to the following calendar year. Any remaining balance greater than this on 12/31 is forfeited.
