Operations Manager/Sales team Position Summary The Events Packer / Expediter plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, presentation, and timely execution of all catering and event orders. This position is responsible for packing, organizing, and dispatching high-end food and beverage orders, maintaining equipment standards, and supporting logistics to ensure seamless event execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Review daily event orders, flight schedules (if applicable), and catering details for accuracy, completeness, and special instructions. Verify packing slips and ensure all items meet company presentation and quality standards prior to dispatch. Accurately pack and organize food, beverages, and specialty items for events and deliveries. Coordinate with kitchen staff, drivers, and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment. Assist with staging and dispatch of deliveries, ensuring all orders leave complete and on schedule. Monitor and communicate last-minute order changes or updates to appropriate team members. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling VIP clients, sensitive orders, and proprietary information. Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and operational protocols. Additional Responsibilities Clean and maintain specialty catering equipment that cannot be processed through the standard dish room. Polish, wrap, and properly store all catering equipment after cleaning and return from the dish room. Support delivery drivers with order staging and setup during high-volume periods. Maintain morning availability with flexible start times based on operational needs; reliability and consistency are essential. Assist with occasional deliveries or retrieval of items from the commissary as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in catering, hospitality, logistics, or food service preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight, e.g., 40-50 lbs] and stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license preferred (personal vehicle not required). Schedule & Work Environment Early morning availability required; start times may vary based on event schedules. Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Work is performed in a kitchen, warehouse, and event staging environment with frequent movement and coordination between departments. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Capability to safely handle food, equipment, and packing materials.
