Job Description

Packaging Specialist Job Description The responsibilities of the Packaging Specialist within Garden Remedies, Inc. (GRI) broadly embrace the key areas described below. The most critical role is to ensure that all Garden Remedies products are properly measured and packaged for shipment and sale. Working within a team, the Packaging Specialist ensures our top-quality products arrive to our Dispensaries and Customers as expected.
Duties:
Responsible for weighing, counting, sealing and labeling GRI products Performs repetitive work-station or assembly line operations Accountable for performing quality checks, reviewing test results, work orders or production lists according to Standard Operating Procedures May involve inventory management, tracking and conversions Uses various equipment including heat guns, beakers, measuring equipment and other tolls and machinery as required for the task at hand Follows and executes compliant practices adhering in accordance with state regulations and GRI's standard operating procedures. Promotes a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and rooted in education
Responsibilities:
Maintains extensive knowledge of GRI's products Is knowledgeable about MA compliance and reporting regulations Maintains a clean, safe, and well managed work station Acknowledges any inventory issues and properly reports them to management Works effectively in a team environment Completes other duties as assigned in a timely and appropriate manner
Qualifications:
Extremely high attention to detail, including the ability to detect quality defects and perform accurate counts and measurements Demonstrated history of strong attendance, including the ability to adhere to a strict schedule Computer skills including Microsoft Word and other programs as required Ability to work within a team and cultivate long-term working relationships, maintains a positive attitude in a busy department Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently, bend, stoop and twist with or without reasonable accommodation Fun attitude and strong work ethic Cannabis and Assembly experience preferred
Supervision:
Works under the general supervision of the Packaging Manager and Assistant Manager This position is not responsible for supervising other employees
REQUIRED SKILLS
At least 21 years of age. Demonstrated passion to serving the medical and adult-use cannabis community. Excellent communication and customer service skills Computer operating skills Medical and recreational cannabis product knowledge highly desirable Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment Ability to genuinely and respectfully connect with coworkers and visitors Desire to learn more about cannabis Organization and planning skills Strong operational skills in a service environment Team-building skills Ability to pass all required background checks to work with MA cannabis Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to build relationships both internally as well as in the community Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
