In person About the Position Berkshire Mountain Bakery is seeking a dependable and motivated Packaging Associate to join our production team. The Packaging Associate plays an important role in ensuring that our handcrafted breads, pastries, pizzas, cookies, and other baked goods are prepared, packaged, and presented to our customers with the highest level of care. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced bakery environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a hardworking, collaborative team. Previous food production or packaging experience is helpful but not required-we are willing to train the right person. The expected schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with room to grow into additional hours and responsibilities for the right candidate. Responsibilities- Slice, package, bag, seal, and label a variety of breads and baked goods.
- Prepare products for retail and wholesale customers according to established quality standards.
- Accurately assemble, organize, and verify wholesale orders.
- Properly store and handle finished products in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate light packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
- Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure orders meet bakery standards.
- Work efficiently to meet production and order deadlines.
- Assist other members of the production team with additional tasks as needed. Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods, including shifts of up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Previous food production, bakery, or packaging experience is a plus, but not required.
