Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
A Material Stocker uses industrial equipment in handling and transferring material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately interpret pallet paperwork and labels Maintain familiarity with plant layout and stock locations Safely use a pallet jack in performing various tasks Enter plant receipt reports into computerized database Receive and stock materials in correct locations Identify all cabinet parts, components, and stock locations Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances Ability to identify and process damaged or flawed material in lieu of stocking it Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Physical Ability:
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and gloves The noise level is usually moderate to high Occasional overtime and weekend work as required About American Woodmark in
