Job Description

Picker Packer SP Industries Inc. is hiring for our team in Pocomoke City, MD and has an immediate opening for a Picker/Packer. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, packing and shipping various products from inventory. This is a full-time, 1st shift position with a schedule of Monday - Friday with hours from 7am - 3:30pm.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reads and fills customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gatd or distributed
  • Assembles and packs customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information and maintains shipping records
  • Prepares parcels for mailing.
  • Maintains inventory records.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are preferred.
  • Basic math skills and computer literacy is preferred.
  • One to three months related experience in a warehouse work setting is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Must demonstrate a solid work history and attendance record.
Payrate :
$15 - $17/hr HSE All employees have the responsibility to work in a safe manner and report any health, safety or environmental concern to their manager or supervisor in a timely manner. Employee responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Refrain from removing or altering safety devices or guarding unless hazardous energies are controlled through lockout-tagout methods
  • Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts
  • Report defect in any equipment or protective device
  • Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
  • Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
  • Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
  • Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
