Job Description

  • Job Location:
    Chelsea, MI
  • 1st & 2nd Shift
  • In this role, you are the final set of eyes before our products go out the door.
Operating in a lively, fast-paced environment, you'll assemble custom industrial workstations and metal cabinets, perform final quality checks, and securely package items to guarantee our customers receive the best possible product every single time.
Responsibilities:
    Mechanical Assembly:
    Assemble custom cabinetry, workstations, and structural components using pneumatic tools, hand tools, and hardware insertion equipment.
      Final Quality Inspection:
      Perform visual, tactile, and dimensional quality checks to ensure every product meets GMI standards before shipment.
        Proactive Communication:
        Ask questions and seek clarification whenever directives or blueprints are unclear—ensuring accuracy is always prioritized.
          Packaging & Shipping Prep:
          Wipe down finished assemblies, pack, wrap, pa letize, and crate products safely for transit.
            Team Collaboration & Safety:
            Work tightly with a supportive team, maintain an organized workspace (5S principles), and adhere strictly to safety guidelines.
            Skills:
              Experience:
              Background in mechanical assembly, power/hand tool operation, packaging, or general manufacturing preferred (we are happy to train motivated candidates!).
                Detail & Quality Focus:
                Exceptional attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver top-notch work to the customer.
                  Communication & Curiosity:
                  Great communication skills and a team-first mindset that isn't afraid to ask questions when unsure.
                    Education:
                    High School Diploma or equivalent.
                    Schedule:
                    1st Shift Mon-Fri 6:00a-3:30p $18.00-$20:00 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 2:30p-12:00a $18.50-$20.50
                    Pay:
                    $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
                    Experience:
                    Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred) Power/Hand tools: 1 year (Preferred) Mechanical assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
