Full Job Description Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the production floor clerk is to assist in the packaging and shipment of prescription orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role also supports inventory management, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and addresses shipping-related issues to facilitate smooth operations on the production floor.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Pack patient orders and accompanying paperwork into envelopes, boxes, or coolers with ice as needed. Address shipment-related issues using the shipping solution software. Assist with processing daily purchase orders. Help organize and store supplies appropriately. Support the retrieval of supplies from the warehouse and their transfer to the production floor. Maintain workstations and ensure the production floor area is clean and organized. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Effective verbal communication skills Ability to work with peers in a team effort Basic knowledge of workplace safety and sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Problem-solving abilities to address shipment-related issues. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift and move supplies or packages and lift heavy objects up to 10 pounds Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in alignment with departmental and industry demands
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or production environment (1-2 years preferred).
Preferred Skill/Abilities:
Prior experience in warehouse or Retail/Mail Order Pharmacy preferred. Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems (preferred).
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Production/warehouse environment, with exposure to some noise and machinery.
