Entry Level - Packager/Bagger Job Description This role involves working on a production line to fill and seal 50-pound bags of ingredients, ensuring they are properly packaged and do not leak. Positions are currently available on 2nd and 3rd shift, with overtime sometimes. You will work closely with a small team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that handles food-related products and follows FDA guidelines. Responsibilities Bag 50-pound quantities of ingredients into appropriate packaging with accuracy and consistency. Operate a sealing machine to securely seal filled bags and ensure they do not leak. Monitor packaging and sealing equipment during operation and respond quickly to any issues. Lift and move 50+ pound bags repeatedly throughout the shift while following safe lifting practices. Essential Skills At least 6 months of manufacturing experience within the last year. Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently throughout the shift. Experience in production or general labor environments. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility operates three shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The work environment is dusty and can be smelly due to the nature of the ingredients handled. You will work in very close quarters with a team of approximately 3-5 people per shift. The dress code requires jeans and either a t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt; after several weeks of employment, company-provided shirts with your name will be issued. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake City, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
