Job Title:
Order Picker Job Description This role focuses on accurately verifying and preparing customer orders before they are shipped. You will review picked orders, check for errors, perform quality inspections, and ensure all documentation and labels are correctly entered and printed. The position requires consistent attention to detail, comfort with warehouse technology, and the ability to handle physical tasks throughout the day. Responsibilities Review picked orders to confirm accuracy before they are sent to shipping. Perform quality inspections of products, checking for mistakes and defects. Lift and move items weighing approximately 30-40 lbs throughout the workday. Assist with order picking as needed to support warehouse operations. Use RF scanners and pick links to upload and manage accurate documentation. Verify all orders to ensure 100% accuracy in product type and quantity. Process bulk orders and break them down into smaller orders by location. Use work orders to confirm the correct product and quantities required. Count individual items, such as pairs of socks, to ensure precise quantities. Use computers to enter order data and print shipping labels. Verify product accuracy multiple times throughout the process to maintain high quality standards. Support general warehouse duties related to picking, packing, and inventory as needed. Essential Skills Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse environment. Ability to perform accurate product verification and quality checks. Proficiency using RF scanners and related warehouse scanning technology. Comfort with general labor tasks, including lifting 30-40 lbs and standing for an entire shift. Basic computer skills to enter data and print shipping labels. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining 100% order accuracy. Ability to work with inventory and follow work orders precisely. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or similar environment is an asset. Ability to communicate clearly about work history, career goals, and interests within the company. Comfort working in a fast-growing organization with evolving processes and opportunities. Work Environment This role is based in an open warehouse environment, where you will stand for the entire shift and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving products. You will work with RF scanners, pick links, computers, and other standard warehouse equipment to manage orders and inventory. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, t-shirt, and tennis shoes, suitable for an active, hands-on workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
