GENERAL SUMMARY
To assist in the operation of the production department (corn or flour) lines under the direct supervision of the department Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Be capable of performing all product-handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e. fold card boxes, stacking, and counting, packing, sealing and put bags in boxes). Provide relief to boxers, sealers, and packers as required Follow GMP's, and Safety standards at all time, including LOTO policy. Verify machinery is in good working condition. Verify that code dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conform to client's expectations. Maintain his/her work area clean and assist in cleaning the department when needed. Assist in training of new personnel. Properly fill out all necessary documentation. Be prepared to cover other positions (for which the employee has the capacity and/or training) as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead. Be able to work well with others. Be able to work overtime. Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned by Managers and Supervisors and Lead. Follow and direct company regulations. Attend Safety and Quality training meetings. Other duties, as assigned.
