Job Description
General Summary Responsible for overall handling of final product ensuring that all product leaves the plant in compliance with customer specifications. Essential Functions Performs all product handling activities in a packaging work-cell (i.e. stacking, counting, packaging, sealing, put bags in trays or boxes). Provides assistance as directed by leads and/or supervisors for repackaging and reworking product. Verifies codes dates, sealing, product weight, and product appearance is within specified parameters and conforms to clients expectations. Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable. Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned. Assists in the training of new personnel. Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies including LOTO to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard. Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork. Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements. Participates in monthly departmental meetings. Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends. Other duties, as assigned.
