The incumbent will work 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Some overtime work may be required. Essential Job Functions Line and pad crates and assemble cartons. Obtain and sort product. Wrap protective material around product. Inspect materials, products and containers at each step of the packaging process. Record information such as weight, time and date packaged. Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools. Record product, packaging and order information on specified forms and records. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them in designated areas. Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails and hand tools. Load materials and products into package processing equipment. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Completion of Nor-Ell job training, with demonstrated proficiency in the job. Able to read and understand English. Able to count and do simple math (primarily addition). Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Able to tolerate high heat and humidity while doing physical activity. Have free range of motion - bending, stooping, twisting, walking, balancing. People who have allergies or are sensitive to chemicals should avoid this position. Preferred Experience Previous manufacturing environment experience.
