Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication growth as a long-term substitute Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near Saint Paul, MN. This contract role spans two key assignment windows: late May through early June and September through December, ideal for professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy making a lasting impact. The full-time schedule ensures consistent engagement with students and colleagues, emphasizing collaborative care and professional growth. In this position, you'll manage a speech-only caseload of approximately 25 students, with a total service load around 45. You'll deliver direct therapy, conduct evaluations, participate actively in IEP meetings, and maintain thorough documentation and compliance—all essential elements in helping students meet their communication goals.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- School-based SLP experience, including evaluation and therapy delivery
- Demonstrated success managing IEP documentation and compliance
- Skilled at balancing therapy scheduling and reporting requirements
- Experience handling elementary and/or secondary speech caseloads advantageous
- Ability to seamlessly transition into and manage existing caseloads
- Familiarity with Minnesota school compliance standards valuable
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech services within a school environment
- Complete evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Ensure thorough, timely documentation and adherence to state/district guidelines
