401(k) 401(k) matching Competitive salary Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Job Summary Home Place Pastures is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Full-Time Fulfillment Center Picker / Packer to join our team in northwest Mississippi. This role is vital to our pasture-to-table mission. You will accurately select, pack, and prepare our high-quality, ethically raised meat products for direct-to-consumer shipping and retail distribution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support local, regenerative agriculture.
Key Responsibilities Order Picking:
Select frozen and refrigerated meat products from warehouse storage according to order sheets or handheld scanner instructions.
Quality Control:
Inspect items during picking to verify correct cuts, correct quantities, proper labeling, and packaging integrity.
Order Packing:
Safely package perishable goods into shipping containers with appropriate insulation and coolants (e.g., dry ice or gel packs) to prevent damage and thawing during transit.
Labeling & Logistics:
Seal packed containers, apply accurate shipping labels, and stage completed orders in the designated shipping area.
Inventory Care:
Restock incoming inventory, monitor product rotation, and report any stock discrepancies or damaged goods to the warehouse supervisor.
Safety & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized work area in strict compliance with USDA food safety guidelines and warehouse protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications Reliability:
Consistent attendance and punctual arrival are mandatory.
Transportation:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transit to the farm in Como, MS.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and remain standing or walking for a full 8-hour shift.
Work Environment:
Comfortable working extensively in cold environments, including walk-in refrigerators (32-40°F) and freezers (<32°F). Attention to
Detail:
High accuracy in reading order specifications to avoid customer shipping errors.
Experience:
Prior warehouse, packing, or food industry experience is a plus, but on-site training will be provided for the right candidate.

Hours:
Typical fulfillment center operational shifts (e.g., Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; specific hours discussed during the interview).
