Order Picker Micro Tech Staffing Group - 3.7 Durham, NC Job Details Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Packing Forklift Warehouse experience Materials handling Picking & packing Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic warehouse team as an Order Picker, where your energy and precision will drive efficient order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. In this vital role, you will operate various warehouse equipment, including reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, to accurately select and prepare products for shipment. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols will ensure smooth warehouse operations, supporting our commitment to timely delivery and exceptional quality. This position offers an engaging environment for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced distribution center. Duties Utilize RF scanners and barcode scanning technology to accurately pick orders according to shipping labels and order sheets Conduct manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting and packing items securely for shipment Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate through regular cycle counts and stock replenishment Load and unload shipments while adhering to safety protocols with personal protective equipment (PPE) use Assist in shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and updating inventory records Maintain quality control standards during picking, packing, and shipping processes to minimize errors and damages Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment Experience Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or pallet jacks is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management systems Experience in order picking, packing, shipping & receiving within a distribution or warehouse setting Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling procedures Warehouse supervisor experience or related leadership roles are a plus but not required Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and verifying quantities accurately Strong understanding of barcode scanning for logistics purposes and quality control standards Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Join us in delivering excellence through efficient warehouse operations!
