Job Description
LI-Skilled-01 Now hiring 1st shift Packers in Durham, NC Job Summary The role involves making decisions to resolve deviations in daily operations by evaluating situations against standard operating procedures of quality and production. Establishing credibility of finished goods through adherence to standards is essential. The position is responsible for placing goods into their correct containers and preparing them for shipment using various equipment, meeting or exceeding required productivity standards. Responsibilities Start and stop the pack station. Understand safety rules and quality requirements related to the operation of the pack station. Meet or exceed established productivity standards. Perform quality audits on finished goods and record line production efficiencies routinely and accurately. Ensure packed products conform to the order screen. Isolate damaged items to a predefined area and report all damaged items to supervisors. Ensure boxes are marked properly and labeled appropriately. Scan packed boxes and validate information on packing labels. Seal packed boxes. Report any errors in product selection and quantity to the supervisor or coordinator immediately. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to perform basic computer functions with training.
