Job Summary - Drug Free Work Environment Required Join our dynamic team as a Sorter/Packer, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting, packing, and preparing materials or products for shipment or storage. Your proactive approach will ensure quality control, safety, and timely processing of items. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your heavy lifting skills and equipment operation expertise will shine, contributing directly to our company's success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles to move and organize materials efficiently. Sort items accurately based on size, type, or destination to streamline packing and shipping processes. Pack products securely using appropriate techniques to prevent damage during transit. Conduct cleaning and sanitation of work areas regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Assist with loading and unloading materials using heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed. Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Follow safety guidelines diligently during all operations involving heavy machinery and manual handling tasks. Break down full pallets and sort them into other pallets by category. Experience Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or sanitation trucks is highly preferred. Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is advantageous. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and equipment operation is essential. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing throughout shifts. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control during sorting and packing processes.
